Curriculum

Introduction to relevant ‘Early Stage 1’ (Kindergarten) outcomes across 4 key areas:

  • English
  • Mathematics
  • Discovery Learning
  • Gross and Fine Motor Skills

RJ Community Involvement

Being a part of twin multi-age Campuses provides opportunities to engage with students of different ages through special activities including Bandaged Bear Day, Grandparents’ Day, and service related opportunities.

Extra-curricular opportunities

Library, Incursions and Pre-K Mini Sport activities.

Social and Emotional Development

Provided through loving and caring relationships with Christian staff, as well as through the research-based ‘You Can Do It’ Early Childhood Program.

Smooth transition to Kindergarten

Our Pre-K students enjoy a smooth transition to Kindergarten due to their familiarity with RJ staff, the RJ environment, expectations and routines. Whilst Pre-K students have priority for Kindergarten places at both Campuses, it is not an automatic entry. Pre-K students will be assessed prior to the offer of a Kindergarten placement later in the year.

Program Days
  • Two Day Program - Monday, Tuesday
  • Three Day Program - Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
  • Five Day Program - Monday to Friday

Please note that, due to the nature of the Pre-K School Readiness Program, new Pre-K enrolments are not accepted after the commencement of Term 3 as the class will be too far advanced.

Students attend Pre-Kindergarten from 8:45am to 3:00pm.

"My son started Pre-K and we couldn't be happier with the outcome. The teachers are all amazing and so attentive to each of the kids. They not only promote school and learning in fun and loving ways, but they also teach the children life lessons in how to be respectable and considerate human beings. My son loves going to "big school".
