A wide range of extra-curricular activities are available in Secondary. Participation in some of these activities is by application and interview.

Students who receive extra time and personal training from dedicated staff for these activities are encouraged to assist the development of other students accordingly.

Music Performance Groups - Secondary Vocal Group (VOX), Secondary Ensemble, Beginner Band, Intermediate Band, Concert Band, Secondary Guitar Ensemble, Violin Ensemble. Group tutorials are offered in woodwind, brass, and percussion. Private tuition is also available through our Peripatetic Tutors (piano/keyboard, guitar/acoustic/electric/bass/ukulele, drums, voice, violin/cello, flute, saxophone).

Sport, General – In addition to swimming, athletics, cross-country and other large scale events, other options for Sport are available including: Ten Pin Bowling; Rock Climbing; Kick Boxing & Fitness; Ice Skating; Tennis; and Archery

Sport, Representative – Various options provided by the Christian Schools Sports Association include: Basketball; Soccer, Touch Football, Mixed Volleyball, Boys AFL; Boys Cricket; Girls Netball; Girls Softball; and Boys Rugby League

Sport, Gala Days & Representative Trials – RJ students are encouraged to participate in various Gala Day Competitions for selected sport. These events are organised by different sporting organisations and allow our students to compete against other schools. During these competitions there may be opportunities for students to be considered for higher selection for CSSA, CIS, and AICES. RJ students are also given the opportunity for higher representation is scheduled selection trials.

Special Events - Heritage Festival, Secondary Presentation Night. The Secondary Musical is held in alternate years to the Primary Musical. In 2019 Secondary will be performing High School Musical.

Service Opportunities - Music Tour; North West Mission; CRU Day Camp, Tech Crew for Chapel, Assembly and other events; Chapel Committee; Chapel Musicians; Chapel Singers.

Educational Trips - Year 7 Camp at Waterslea, Shoalhaven River, Year 8 Camp to Snowy Mountains/Canberra (alternates); Year 9 camp at Colo River (Duke of Edinburgh Award program); Year 10 City Challenge Camp; and Year 11 Study Adventure Camp at Stanwell Tops and BioCamp.

Interest Groups - Public Speaking Club, Unashamed (Christian Lunchtime Group), Tech Team, Video Production Group, Debating Club, Bible Study.

External Competitions - History Competition, Geography Competition, Maths Competition, Science & Engineering Challenge.

Duke of Edinburgh Program - Hikes for Bronze and Silver are available.

External Opportunities - TASC Choral Festival, Drama Festival, Writing Competitions.

Study Help - A voluntary student study club is available during lunch on Monday, Thursday and Friday and after School on Monday and Wednesday. The Club is supervised by Learning Support Teachers.
