RJ Volunteers are amazing. Indeed it is a special person who is willing to sacrifice their time and energy to commit to blessing the next generation. We are very thankful for our Volunteers and we trust that they are equally blessed from their involvement with our students.

There are many ways to assist the RJ community, such as Reading Support in the Primary classrooms, a helper on excursions or camps, food preparation in the Canteen, and the many P&F activities.

I love helping the little ones read. I get great pleasure in seeing their enthusiasm towards learning and their improvements each week. Mrs Batey (Grandparent)

Before assisting at RJ, Volunteers need to go through the simple process of obtaining a Working With Children Check clearance number (WWCC). Please visit www.check.kids.nsw.gov.au and apply online for a Volunteer’s WWCC. Once you receive the WWCC application number, please attend a Roads & Maritime Services office with identification to receive your WWCC number. For Volunteers, this process is free of charge.

This number, together with your full name and date of birth (for verification purposes) is to be forwarded to the Operations Manager, Mrs Stephanie Ghali -  sghali@rjas.nsw.edu.au  before you engage in Volunteer work. If you have a number already, please email this to the Operations Manager, together with your date of birth, for verification purposes.

Volunteers are also asked to read the Volunteers' Handbook so that they are well informed regarding the expectations and safety procedures. Volunteers will sign in and out at the main School Office Reception or the Primary Reception accordingly.
