Our wonderful Secondary girls team played with great teamwork and enthusiasm.

It was a cold and dark morning as teams gathered and boarded the bus for Kellyville to meet their netball destinies. Excitement bubbled as Primary and Secondary students came together for what we knew would be a day of fun, competition and hopefully no stepping!

The four teams from RJ were eager to impress; lower and upper Primary, junior and senior Secondary, ready to take on challengers from far and wide. Students from as far as Dubbo and Shellharbour, came to take the court and make their schools proud.

Play began with a rocky start, both the junior and senior Secondary RJ teams met defeat in their early rounds, though they played with enthusiasm and comradery. Building their teamwork throughout the day, morale and the scores both picked up and our secondary teams finished the day with 2 wins in the final rounds.

While we didn’t come out as winners in any of the divisions, the day was a success as the girls improved in their abilities and showed their sportsmanship on and off the court. We look forward to an even better result next year!
